Meet at Robinson Park @ 6PM – arrive at Embassy Suites- I-25 and Lomas
Every year at the end of summer, the NRA hosts the National Police Shooting Championships in our city, Albuquerque, NM. The event is exactly what it sounds like, a national championship shooting contest for cops. Embassy Suites is the designated host hotel for the entire debacle.
In a city with the highest rate of police shootings per capita, a competition which glorifies police violence is a brazen insult to everyone who has been victimized by APD.
On September 19th, the first day of the competition, we will gather at Robinson Park at 8th and Central and march through the streets of Downtown Albuquerque to Embassy Suites, where police gather from out of town to participate in the shoot-out.
It should be known that any hotel which volunteers to host this event in the future will face harsh criticism and protest.
Join us in making it abundantly clear to the City of Albuquerque, Embassy Suites and the NRA that we will not sit by while police come from afar to gather in our city for a shoot-out. We will have justice.
